Tips On Caring For Pets During Diwali

Diwali is a time to celebrate with our family. For some members of the family however, Diwali can prove to be a stressful time. Our pets often experience distress in the festive season, due to crackers and sudden noise pollution, leading to stress chewing bedding and other items.

Indian actress and animal welfare activist Amala Akkineni shares a few tips on how to take care of your furry family members during the Diwali festivities.

  • Keep your pets indoors, away from the hazards of crackers.
  • Draw your curtains close and as far as possible, try to mute the noise.
  • Add a few drops of Rescue Remedy to their water twice a day during Diwali week to help them stay calm.
  • Remember, a pet often reflects the stressed energy of their pet parent just like a child, so carry on as normal in your everyday.
