February EDITION 2026

February, Relationships & the Art of Being Present

February always arrives with a certain softness. It’s called the month of love, of relationships, of connection, and yet, ironically, it’s also the time when many of us feel the most distracted. We are busy chasing goals, seeking validation, and pursuing the next milestone. We let ego speak louder than empathy. We try to prove points instead of protecting bonds. Somewhere along the way, we forget to simply be with the people who already matter.

This month made me pause, and I realised two deeply personal lessons. Relationships don’t ask for perfection; they ask for presence. They live in the smallest moments we often overlook. That quiet cup of morning chai before the world wakes up. School drop-offs are filled with half-slept conversations and familiar routines. Sitting beside someone, doing nothing, binge-watching without an agenda. These moments don’t look extraordinary, but they are!

The second lesson came from an unexpected place, a podcast on mindful thinking. We speak endlessly about mindful eating, mindful fitness, and mindful routines. But we rarely talk about mindful thinking. If only we became more aware of what we allow our minds to dwell on, life would feel so much simpler. And so would relationships. When we become mindful of our thoughts, everything begins to shift. We listen more. We judge less. We respond with patience instead of impulse. We stop reacting and start understanding. Slowly, relationships feel lighter, safer, and more real.

What this month ultimately taught me is that presence and mindful thinking are inseparable. When we become aware of our thoughts, we automatically become more present in our relationships. We listen instead of reacting. Relationships don’t need constant effort; they need awareness. And when we slow our thoughts, everything else finds its rhythm.

This issue reflects that philosophy. It’s a gentle balance, much like life should be. From heartfelt stories about pet connections to Rani Mukerji’s calm choices and clarity of mind, to Myth vs. Medicine and Strong Bonds, Stronger Brands, this issue brings together stories that celebrate connection, clarity, and intention, just as life should.

Slow down. Read mindfully. And enjoy this curation of stories, because relationships, like life, deserve to be lived fully.
