February EDITION

Hashtag magazine February Issue 2024

As we step into February, our focus, no matter how caught up, naturally shifts from the relentless pursuit of money and career to the realities of love and relationships. Singles seek companionship, couples fight bitter divorce battles, and the divorced choose to pick new beginnings through remarriage while the rest are happy to remain happy and single. The question that echoes is profound – what does a relationship mean in this day and age? Does a relationship mean being married? Does it mean sex? Are people in open marriages happy? The very essence of a relationship is undergoing a transformative shift and is constantly evolving. Honestly, there is no more wrong and right in relationships anymore. Anything that makes you happy is right…. The lines between right and wrong are blurred, and happiness takes on different forms for different individuals. Who are we to judge? While the older generation still believes that getting their kids married young at 21, is the solution to all the problems, on the other spectrum, we have people choosing live-ins over marriages and pets instead of kids. It’s time to realise that there is no formula, standard, or rule book for matters of the heart. In a world with a 7 billion population, who are we to judge the highs and lows, the unconventional choices, and the diverse paths. It becomes apparent that there is no one-size-fits-all definition for a relationship. We have reached a time when connections can be made with a click, and what’s worse is that as fascinating as it may seem, we also have apps like Gleeden that cater to those who are seeking extramarital affairs. Yes, it’s true! This Valentine’s Day, let’s pledge to celebrate everything that makes us happy; it could be a friend who comforts us, a neighbour who gives us the hots, or even someone we have found on an extramarital app! Gay, straight, or queer, this V-day, let’s celebrate the differences because it’s the differences that make us beautiful… Moving on to our issue, our cover story features someone who has taken a unique path with his movie choices. Teja Sajja, renowned for films like ‘Zombie Reddy,’ has achieved remarkable success with his latest movie, ‘Hanuman,’ becoming the year’s biggest hit. We engage in a conversation with this rising star. Staying true to the February theme, our stories explore relationships and dating apps, romantic getaways, and much more. As the world progresses, I hope we can keep up with everything that’s trending. Enjoy reading our issue, and don’t forget to celebrate the differences!
