Chahatt Khanna – Absolutely Fabulous

  1. Many of your fans admire your fit body. What are your top fitness tips for staying motivated and consistent with workouts?

I keep things simple to stay lean and fit. I do yoga regularly and have added weight training to my routine. My focus is on eating clean and avoiding unnecessary supplements or steroids. Consistency is critical, and I believe in maintaining a balanced approach to fitness.

  • Could you describe your typical fitness routine? What types of exercises or workouts do you enjoy the most?

I enjoy calisthenics, which I started about two years ago. It motivated me to begin gymming and weight training. Before that, I wasn’t into the gym at all; I preferred dancing and yoga. Calisthenics has enhanced my love for yoga and made exercise and breath work easier for me. Now, I do weight training almost four to five days a week and dedicate two days to stretching and yoga.

  • Nutrition plays a crucial role in fitness. Can you share some insights into your daily diet and any specific dietary preferences or tips you follow?

I focus on clean eating and follow a Satwik diet, emphasizing conscious living. I include plant protein and occasionally whey protein in my diet. I avoid wheat unless it’s organic, which I source and grind myself from the market. Instead, I often eat ragi, barley, and millet. My diet is primarily low-calorie, high-protein, and high-fibre. It’s not complicated—just simple, healthy, nourishing, gut-friendly foods.

  • What advice do you have for individuals aspiring to achieve a healthy and fit lifestyle, especially those new to fitness?

Achieving a healthy and fit lifestyle isn’t rocket science. Focus on keeping your calorie intake in check and ensure your diet is rich in protein and fibre while being low in calories. Balance your meals with these nutrients. Remember, 70% of your fitness journey is diet, and 30% is exercise. Stick to this formula, and you’ll see results.

  • Maintaining a balanced diet can be a struggle for many. Could you share some of your favourite healthy recipes or snacks that help you stay on track with your fitness goals?

My all-time favourite snack is makhana roasted in ghee with a bit of salt—simple, healthy, and delicious. I also love avocado on toast. Another favourite is beetroot raita, made with grated beetroot in yogurt and topped with a tadka of curry leaves and mustard seeds. It’s a great side dish with most meals. I also stick to a high-protein vegetarian diet and enjoy snacking on edamame.

  • Lastly, what projects or goals are you working on in your acting career and fitness journey that you’d like to share with your fans and followers?

I’m currently working on writing three scripts, which I aim to finish within the next six months. These scripts are very close to my heart and I’m excited to bring them to life. As for my fitness journey, I don’t focus on a specific weight but on building muscle and overall strength. I’ve been on this fitness journey for two years and plan to reach my ideal body in another year.

  • What activities do you find most calming and relaxing?

I find massages incredibly relaxing. I also love writing and playing sports, especially learning soccer with my daughter. Cooking world cuisine is another passion, and I enjoy whipping up different dishes occasionally. Dancing is also a favourite. I often take dance sessions when I’m not under any pressure, which helps me reconnect with my roots.

  • We all experience stress occasionally. Can you share some of your go-to methods or activities for destressing and maintaining mental well-being?

Meditation and spending time in nature are my go-to methods when I’m stressed. Taking some alone time also helps. A head massage, pampering myself, or making a good cup of coffee are great stress busters.

  • Who is your favourite fitness idol, and why?

I don’t have a specific fitness idol, but I admire the incredible transformations of actors like Sara Ali Khan and Disha Patani. Sara’s journey is commendable and truly inspirational. Disha’s dedication to weight training and her impressive transformation are equally admirable. I look up to both of these actresses for their fitness journeys.

  • Do you love traveling, and which is your favourite destination?

I enjoy traveling, especially for leisure in a luxurious style. My favourite destination is Sicily, where I’d love to go and never return. However, I also appreciate the comfort of my daily routine at home.

Vipassana Meditation: The Path to Inner Clarity and Peace

Introduction: In today’s fast-paced, hyper-connected world, true silence and stillness have become rare luxuries. But centuries ago, a powerful method of self-transformation was discovered, one that involves no rituals, no chanting, and no belief systems. This is Vipassana, one of the most ancient meditation techniques in India, rediscovered and popularised by S.N. Goenka. It is not just a practice but a deep mental training designed to purify the mind and reveal the nature of reality. Hashtag Magazine gives you a lowdown… What is Vipassana? Core Principles of Vipassana Anicca (Impermanence): Everything is constantly changing. Dukkha (Suffering): Clinging to impermanent things causes suffering.
