Quick Travel Q&A with Roop Verma

What inspired you to start traveling and sharing online?
My curiosity. I’ve always wanted to see the world through my own eyes and then I realized that sharing those moments makes them even more powerful. I love it when someone messages me saying, ‘Wait, what? I need to go there too!’ I live for that spark.

Are you a planner or a spontaneous explorer?
Both, in the best way. I plan enough to survive  but the real magic happens when I wander off the map and find something unexpected.

One destination that pleasantly surprised you?
Japan. It hit me with beauty, strangeness, and emotions I didn’t even know I had. I still think about it every single day.

How do you choose your next destination?
Sometimes my heart whispers, ‘Go here, trust me.’ Other times, I just scroll through Instagram, see a picture, and go  ‘Yep, that’s happening.’

One travel essential you never leave home without?
My camera, always. But also, a little notebook  because not every moment fits into a photo. Some need words, scribbled before they disappear.
