YOUNG CRICKETERS CREATE HISTORY

India becomes the first team to beat Australia in Brisbane in 32 years.

Cricket lovers went berserk as India beat Australia by 3 wickets in the fourth and final Test Series at the Gabba in Brisbane to win the four- match series 2-1 and lift the Border-Gavaskar trophy for the second time in a row.

Although some of the big names in cricket like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli were either missing or injured the youngsters with their spirit, confidence and never-give-up attitude gave Indian’s a winning moment to cherish for a lifetime. The new players- Siraj, Thakur, Sundar and Rishabh Pant grabbed the opportunity and showcased their potential with the bat and the ball, and now India is returning home with two fast bowlers, capable batsmen, young spinners- all-rounders with the ability to perform under pressure.  We give you a lowdown of some of the young talents that shined on the field.

India now has all-rounders beyond Jadeja and Hardik Pandya as Sundar’s batting and bowling ability shined throughout the tournament. His bowling thrives on accuracy and his batting is on point that can even nullify world-class bowlers.

Mohammed Siraj, Shardhul Thakur and Natarajan have played their part amazingly with the new red Kookaburra ball. They cast some beautiful spells to Smith and Warner that even experienced bowlers faced certain difficulties in doing.

Rishabh Pant was the man of the hour as his amazing knock and his unbeaten 89 helped India chase down 328. His outstanding performance in the Test series answered all the criticism and questions that were raised about his ability.  Our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi along with other famous cricketers, actors like Virat Kohli, Shikar Dhawan, Sharukh Khan, Venkatesh and many others joined to congratulate Team India’s historical win against Australia.
